Midnight Wendecka hunting!
27 Autumn 550 (02 July 2003)
- Ok, some big report today! I had some great hunting
recently, and came home alive to tell the tale! 8)
Well, it started out quite harmless. I searched for the fabulous
cloud teleporter in Falinea's garden and almost died in the process
of using it! Not very nice! Funnily I managed to get killed on
the cloud and stumbling fallen into the teleporter home. *chuckle*
Once I went not alone it was much easier. Together with Tuttle I
admired some of the scenery - a promising hunting spot indeed!

- The cloud was fun, but it got much better! I got an invite
by Yor for a trip to the foothills! Woooh - it was a long time
I was there, and last time I took a depart to get home. This time
I also got very very close to a depart, but it turned out to be ok.
But let's start at the beginning... Our small group made it
unscratched to Bones in snaggle, from where Zorton (thanks to his
unbelieveable teleporter training!) was able to bring us directly
beyond HH and OOB and Dred Passage into the foothills. Once there
we had a great time in vanquishing a lot of midnight wendies and
getting some occasional skin.... 8)

- We proceeded without to much trouble right to Camp Dred,
where Yor and Kensington decided to use a pathfinder path into
the iron giants breeding grouds, to nick the uli!
It was nice idea, but first we saw Ken falling and some time later
(Yor takes his time!) also our big Zo. And now begins the
interesting part.. 8)

- It was now up to Tater, Zorton, Drue and me to try some kind
of rescue. Also going through the PF spot did not work, because
nobody of us could open it. There is a way around it, but that
forest is known to be a bit busy. We took some time with clearing
the first snell, but managed to stay alive. But while luring stuff
from the next northern snell Drue fell. I was now the lone fighter.
Oh great..8)
Together with Tater I tried my best, but in the end I run into
an ironwood giant. Dooooh. Drue had to leave and departed, Zorton
went home to town with Tater. (I have no idea how they made that!)
And I lay fallen in Camp Dred and had to watch Zealots to
teleport me into Orga Village! Luckily this is a lot closer to
town so the huge rescue squad arrived after a not to long wait. Yay!

- So we went again to the foothills to get Kensington and Yor.
Both were in a pretty bad shape by now. Next was the usual game and
everyone but some chainers had to fall, so that Zorton was able to
teleport all of us. (He can only port 5 alive persons at a time).
So I went all the way another time, but soon we arrived again
at Camp Dred. That evil ironwood giant got trapped and our mob
successfully managed to clear a ton of warlocks!
(We got that nasty tree on our way out, by the way..8)

- Yay! Finally we were able to get our lost friends! This was
really some great action! We hunted our way back home and I was
happy to show again some of my skills. Have I mentioned that I really
really love the midnight wendies? 8)
Again a lot of thanks for the marvelous rescue effort and some
quality time spent in some exciting place. 8)
